WWE

This ain't no disrespect to Jim Ross or John Layfield, but i really think the commentary needs a shake up, there's no ribbing or wind ups or joking around & you can't hear anyone having fun, OK they're filling in for Jerry Lawler so i cut the slack there, though when things did spice up & JBL was playing more of the heel....he later apologized saying "it was a character" & he "was playing a heel". Why say this? use it to create heat, you're a heel! Again i understand the commentary situation regarding King but Jerry Lawler called Otunga & McGillicutty boring & was confronted by  the tag team, he then backed it up with a couple of matches, teaming with first Zak Ryder & then Sheamus & won both times, Then a confrontation with CMPunk after saying Punk turned his back on fans, King then got into a feud with him, then teamed with Randy Orton
winning the match against Punk & Ziggler.

To me Jerry Lawler has an old school sense of humor & the way he'd joke about Vicky Guerrero seems to come straight from the playground of my youth.

Michael Cole had never broke character as a heel & annoyed fans more & didn't mind ribbing from King every week or otherwise he'd cool down & got in scrapes with The Rock, Cena, etc

Roddy Piper was named Rowdy for a reason, he's a free willed guy, never one to bow down to anyone about anything, if he feels it he went with it, never explained what had just happened, you saw what you saw.

OK

Then Jim Ross said on a sports radio station that WWE'S not a sport & is entertainment fiction.
JBL apologized to Epico & Primo for a comment he made that they didn't like, aren't they sons of Rikishi? if so shouldn't they know how heel ribbing works? & with JR he came from Bill Watts era, Bill Watts was so secretive with his wrestling company that if any match was leaked to fans or the media, the match would be changed & Watts had never let Heels & Babyfaces mix, in contrast JR's just let the cat out the bag, Is he more Vince McMahon than Bill Watts these days? whereas Jerry Lawler is a mix of Memphis/independent & WWE

Back to commentary JR is better with Jerry Lawler, as King brings a lot of culture to the table, & lately, not knocking Michael Cole he's the media machine, but with what JR's written about those car journeys with King, looking back at those two together in the 90's +,  you can hear the buzz. JBL or Cole don't have same privilege.

As i said i have a lot of respect for JR, & after all WWE's his work & everyone has their own method, i just happen to not agree with his views
